National Day of Service: Random Acts of Black Doll Kindness!

Who: The Black Doll Affair: A philanthropic social club and self-esteem movement for black women and girls!

What: Engage in the original business of The Black Doll Affair - reminding a black child of her intrinsic beauty with the gift of a toy black doll from a living doll! Or, as they say, “Be a Doll, give a Doll!”

Why: Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others? - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Each year, Americans across the country answer that question by coming together on the King Holiday to volunteer and serve their neighbors and communities. The MLK Day of Service is a part of United We Serve, the President’s national call to service initiative. As recipients of President Obama’s Presidential Service Award, it is The Black Doll’s continued duty to answer the President’s national call to service. Join us, to be of service. Join us to “Be a Doll, give a doll!”

How: Meet the Black Dolls with a minimum of TWO toy black dolls (one baby doll and one Barbie Doll). Then, we’ll go thru the mall and randomly surprise little girls with the gift of a toy black doll!
